The Erie Metropolitan Transportation Authority will be hosting its third annual Winter Goods Drive, this year benefiting the Erie Humane Society January 19th through February 13th.
The EMTA is encouraging their employees and members of the community to donate shelter items such as pet food, treats, toys, paper towns, blankets and garbage bags. Participants can see the full wish list or donate directly to the shelter at eriehumanesociety.org.

Additionally, those who donate items can enter to win a pair of Erie SeaWolves tickets to any April home game. 20 pairs of tickets will be drawn and given away at random to those who were entered through donations at the close of the drive. Individuals can be entered up to three times.

“EMTA is proud to support the Erie Humane Society in our third annual Winter Good Drive,” says EMTA CEO, Jeremy Peterson. “As a public service agency, it is important to encourage community engagement and civic responsibility in the community we serve.”

“Partnerships like this are what make our community so special,” said Joe Lang, Executive Director of the Erie Humane Society. “We are thrilled to build a collaborative relationship with EMTA and are incredibly grateful for their kindness and generosity in choosing to benefit the Erie Humane Society through their third annual Winter Goods Drive. Support like this not only helps us meet critical needs for the animals in our care, but also reminds us that when organizations come together with a shared spirit of compassion, the impact reaches far beyond our shelter walls.”
Donations can be made at the EMTA administration office located at 127 East 14th Street, Monday through Friday from 8AM to 4:30PM. Be sure to leave contact information with staff in the lobby to be entered to win SeaWolves tickets at the time of donation. For more information, please visit ride-the-e.com or EMTA’s Facebook page.
