The Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority is participating in the National Transit Employee Appreciation Day on Wednesday, March 18th and is asking the public to help them show their employees appreciation by submitting a digital ‘Thank You’ to share with their staff.

Those looking to show their gratitude to an individual, department or EMTA as a whole can find a link to submit a digital Thank You card at ride-the-e.com or on the EMTA’s Facebook page.

“We appreciate our staff each and everyday, but we want to take a moment to show our gratitude on a larger scale and open that opportunity up to the public as well,” says Jeremy Peterson, CEO EMTA. “Without these folks showing up to work everyday, thousands of people would not be able to get where they need to be.”

National Transit Employee Appreciation Day is a yearly celebration recognized by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) as a way to praise the contributions of transit workers and raise awareness for the importance of investing in public transportation infrastructure and the workforce behind it.

EMTA encourages anyone utilizing their services or interacting with an EMTA employee to show appreciation for their dedication to serving the Erie community. Thank you messages can be submitted until Friday, 3/20 at https://form.jotform.com/EMTAmedia/form-Thankyou
