It remains an important service that promotes inclusion and independence for riders across the region.
EMTA riders already benefit from onboard WiFi, USB charging ports, accessible seating and ramps, and digital tools that make planning and paying for trips easier. With the introduction of new Token Transit validators, riders can now scan a QR code from their mobile pass at the front of the bus for faster boarding. For those without the app, tap to pay is available for single rides using a contactless payment option. These updates continue EMTA’s efforts to improve convenience and efficiency across the system.
This year also brings the addition of new vehicles to the fleet, reflecting ongoing investments in modernization, sustainability, and service for Erie County.
As EMTA celebrates 60 years of service, we are proud of our history and remain committed to providing safe, reliable transportation that keeps Erie County connected.
