University Services
Students, faculty, and employees at Penn State Behrend, Gannon University and Pennsylvania Western University Edinboro Campus plus Erie County College students may ride any of the “e” routes for free with their university-issued ID card. The physical ID cards from Gannon University and PennWest Edinboro must have a current eSticker, which is found at the University ID office. Penn State Behrend may show their digital IDs on their mobile device.
Penn State Behrend
Penn State Behrend has the following routes running to campus: 15, 18, 25 and 26. All of these routes operate year-round except for Route 18, which only operate when school is in session. Riders from Penn State Behrend must show their university ID on their mobile device or physical ID with current ‘e’ sticker to ride for free. See the route 18 campus loop schedule here.
Gannon University
Since Gannon University is located in the heart of Downtown Erie, Gannon students have close access to all of the EMTA routes. Most EMTA routes operate year-round, except for Gannon’s campus shuttle Route 19. Route 19 takes you around campus while classes are in session. You can find the Gannon Loop route 19 for the 2024-2025 academic year here. Please note, the route 19 does not run in during the summer term and may be subject to change.
PennWest Edinboro
Edinboro has Route 14 accessing campus. Most EMTA routes operate year-round, except for Edinboro’s campus shuttle PennWest Edinboro Express. PennWest Edinboro Express takes you around campus while classes are in session. See the PennWest Edinboro Express campus loop schedule here.

Erie County Community College
EC3 students can ride any EMTA fixed route bus for free when they show their student ID when boarding the bus! EC3 students can ride year round. There is no designated route, but a number of route EC3 can utilize that can be found here!
Mercyhurst University IDs will no longer be accepted for free fare as of July 31, 2024.
