EMTA TO HOLD SEVENTH ANNUAL ‘STUFF THE BUS’ TOY DRIVE

NOVEMBER 1, 2024- ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA- The Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority is hosting its 7th annual “Stuff the Bus” toy drive to benefit Toys for Tots of Erie County, Pennsylvania on Friday, December 6th, 2024 from 11AM until 7PM at the Millcreek Mall Plaza in the parking area near Primanti Brothers.

“We have seen an increase in donations year after year with the ‘Stuff the Bus’ campaign” says Sarah Morrison, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at EMTA. “We can’t thank the community enough for their generosity in helping us spread holiday cheer to area children and are excited to see what this year’s event has in store.”

The EMTA encourages supporters to donate new, unwrapped, nonviolent toys. All donations will directly benefit Toys for Tots of Erie County. Also assisting in this effort is iHeart Media, supplying on-air talent and music for the duration of this event. Those who donate may also receive tickets to the Erie Otters while supplies lasts.

EMTA will place a Bayliner Trolley at the Millcreek Mall Plaza near Primanti Brothers to collect toy donations in effort to “Stuff the Bus.” Donations can also be dropped off to the EMTA administration office at 127 East 14th Street, from 8AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday, November 1st until December 5th.

The Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots of Erie County distributed 32,299 toys and supported 8,083 children in the 2023 holiday season. This is an increase of more than 37% in toy donations and nearly 2,000 additional children from 2022, thanks to efforts like Stuff the Bus.
